Terrible product - the first time I've been really disappointed by something from the Nike store. I’ve always enjoyed the added support of ankle shinguards. At home I found the velcro band that secures the shinguards behind the leg was incredibly short. My legs are skinny, but I needed them for the weekend so I cut the bands off and thought I’d leave the socks to keep the pads in place. Upon wearing them, however, I ended up having to take them off and risking kicks to the bone on both legs unless I wanted to run around with just the right one on. I’ve since tried fiddling round with it but there’s no fixing it: with the right one, it’s a matter of being careful it doesn’t curl up whilst putting socks on, but the quality of my left shinguard seemed to be much worse - rough and badly stitched together in just the wrong places, it itches, digs into the ankle and rubs badly during play. Additionally, the ridges of the shell ruined the socks I purchased in the same order since they proved jagged enough for the threads to catch and pull on them.
